What I Do
Relationship-led work across partnerships, markets and ecosystems.
My work is strategic and relationship-based. It is about understanding organisations, markets and opportunities well enough to know who should be in the conversation — and bringing the right capability in when specialist work is required.
Strategic Partnerships
Identifying, developing and sustaining relationships between organisations where there is genuine strategic alignment.
Partnership work begins with understanding what each party actually needs, what they can credibly offer and whether a shared purpose exists. Where it does, I help shape the relationship, the introductions around it and the ongoing communication that keeps it alive.
Africa Market Entry & Expansion
Helping international organisations build a considered presence across African markets through relationships and local context.
This is relationship and context work: understanding how a market operates, who the relevant stakeholders and partners are, what expectations exist, and how an organisation can position itself credibly. Regulatory, legal, tax and technical work is undertaken by appropriately qualified professionals.
Ecosystem Development
Assembling the people, partnerships and specialist capabilities that surround an opportunity.
Few opportunities progress on their own merit alone. I map what an opportunity needs around it — local and international partners, government and industry relationships, specialist capability, evidence and execution capacity — and help bring those elements into the conversation.
Opportunity Origination
Identifying and framing opportunities across markets and sectors, and understanding who they may genuinely be relevant to.
Origination is about relevance rather than volume. I work to understand an opportunity in its own context, and to be honest about where relationships may or may not exist. No introduction, engagement or outcome is guaranteed.
Strategic Representation
Representing organisations in markets, conversations and relationships over the long term.
Representation works when it is grounded in genuine understanding of an organisation's objectives, constraints and reputation. It is a long-term relationship, not a transactional appointment, and its terms are always agreed explicitly in writing.
Capital & Project Ecosystems
Connecting project owners and capital relationships where genuine alignment exists.
I help project owners understand the wider ecosystem their opportunity sits within, and help capital relationships understand market context. I do not provide investment, financial or legal advice, do not assess investment suitability and do not perform due diligence.
Where specialists come in
My role is the ecosystem. Specialists do the specialist work.
Where an opportunity requires legal, financial, tax, regulatory, technical, engineering, ESG, accounting, valuation, banking or other specialist work, appropriately qualified and, where required, authorised professionals may be brought into the ecosystem.
I do not provide regulated financial, investment, legal, tax, technical, engineering or ESG advice, do not carry out due diligence or valuations, and do not hold myself out as a regulated professional adviser.
